Major roads in Karachi closed ahead of Quds Day rallies

Karachi traffic police announced the closure of multiple major roads on Friday due to security arrangements for Quds Day rallies.
Officials said a Youm-e-Quds rally will start from Numaish Chowrangi after Friday prayers and proceed towards Aman Tower. Another rally will begin from Numaish around 2pm, concluding at M.A. Jinnah Road after evening prayers.
Key roads, including the stretch from Boat Basin to Jinnah Bridge, will remain closed. M.T. Khan Road from PIDC to Jinnah Bridge will also be shut in both directions.
Authorities provided alternative routes to manage traffic flow. Vehicles heading towards Tower and surrounding areas were advised to use Gurumandar, Soldier Bazar, Bahadur Yar Jung Road, and other connecting streets.

Traffic from Nazimabad, Garden, and Saddar will be redirected through specified diversion routes. Commuters were urged to follow instructions for smooth travel.
Traffic police personnel will remain deployed along affected roads to assist citizens and ensure proper movement. The advisory covers District South and District West.
Authorities asked residents to plan travel in advance, follow diversion instructions, and contact the Traffic Police Helpline 1915. FM 88.6 will provide real-time traffic updates.
